How do we define family? Does it have an effect on how we feel towards the people we love? Daniel Gijeong Cho Park Gerdes is a a sophomore in high school who has lived with his adopted white American family for the past 15 years. In this piece, he shares what family means to him.
Producer Statement
I chose my topic because while looking different from the rest of my family is an every day occurrence for me, it’s interesting how others perceive our family, and how I'm seen as the “Family Friend.” During the creating process, I learned a lot more about clip editing and recording voiceovers. Through this piece, I want people to stop and think about the families they've created.
