Producer Statement
I made this video to spread more awareness of the plastic pollution within the Great Lakes because I don’t think it’s really talked about a whole lot. You will always hear people talk about plastic pollution within the ocean or the Great Pacific Garbage Patch but you really don’t hear much about the plastic pollution on land, rivers, lakes and beaches. I also wanted to talk about the effects of plastic within environment and the effects it can have when it enters the human body. I want the audience to know and understand why plastic pollution is such a huge problem because while I think a lot of people know why plastic pollution in the environment is bad, I don’t think they understand why it’s bad and why we should take this seriously. The goal of my Call For Change Video is for my audience to gain an understanding of why plastic pollution in the environment and in the Great Lakes specifically is a bad thing.
